Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the forty days of Lent, a time of spiritual preparation and penitence before Easter. Worship, for those attending in person, includes the imposition of ashes, a reminder of our mortality and the need for Christians to continually renew our repentance and faith. The ashes help put us in mind of of the message of pardon and absolution set forth in the Gospel, a mindfulness we are to invited to nurture through the season of Lent.
Throughout Lent clergy are available by appointment for consultation on Lenten practices and/or confession.
