Bishop Diane J. Bruce at Worship & Coffee Hour, Oct 25!
Bishop Suffragan Diane Jardine Bruce will be leading St. A's worship - celebrating spiritual communion and preaching - at our 10:30am service on Sunday October 25. Bishop Bruce's services are often multilingual as she is fluent in Spanish, Mandarin and English and is currently learning Korean.
Afterwards she will join us for an informal Ask the Bishop session during Coffee Hour on Zoom. Any and all questions and thoughts are welcome be it: what is a diocese; what does "suffragan" mean; can we be Facebook friends; or anything else on your heart or mind.
Don't miss this special opportunity to worship with, and get to know Bishop Bruce, who is celebrating her 10th year as bishop suffragan in our diocese. Highlights of her ministry include building up New Community initiatives, like The Gathering: A Space for Asian American Spirituality, the Li Tim-Oi Center for Chinese ministries, and Instituto de Liderazgo, the Spanish language leadership program.
Church-wide, Bishop Bruce is secretary to the House of Bishops and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Church Pension Fund. She has also been a key organizer of initiatives to strengthen the American church's relationships with Episcopal and Anglican communities in Asia.
