Forum: CLUE - Clergy & Laity United for Economic Justice
This Sunday, Oct 22 at 9:15am guest speaker Gabriella Rosco, Senior Organizer for Clergy and Laity for Economic Justice (CLUE), will be leading a forum on ways CLUE is working with clergy and lay leaders of all faiths to join low-wage workers and other economically-disadvantaged communities in their struggles for justice.
CLUE's network of leaders and congregations partner with local activist community organizations and unions to increase workers’ capacity to influence their working conditions, to attain worker-friendly public policies, and to pressure commercial/industrial developers to agree to a community benefits package in exchange for permits and subsidies.
Gabriella Rosco is the Senior Organizer for CLUE, focusing on Santa Monica. A native of California, she attended Westmont Christian College in Santa Barbara where she grew into deep appreciation for the inseparable weave of faith and justice. She emerged from college with a passion to serve marginalized communities and feels blessed to be able to do so with CLUE.
