Were flowers and lights:
What a merry surprise!

The chapel, it glittered!
The Altar was shiny!
The whole church was radiant!

And even the crèches were laid out just right,
To help us remember the point of the night:
When Mary's small babe came to vanquish our sin
And bring love to a world
That would not welcome Him.

As we looked all around
and shared Peace with our friends,
In the church decked with trees and
Poinsettia stems,
The spirit of Christmas wrapped our hearts warm in love.
And we raised hymns of praise to the heavens above.

As they left for the night:
"I'm so glad that I stayed to help put up the lights!"
