Immigration & Refugees
Jesus calls us to to welcome the stranger, to serve "the least" among us. Following this teaching in Matthew 25, St. Augustine's whole-heartedly supports caring for immigrants and refugees.
We stand in solidarity with The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles which has declared itself to be a sanctuary diocese. We are members of the diocesan Sacred Resistance task force, supporting diocesan initiatives and advocacy to welcome and support our brothers and sisters from other lands.
Our parish is also in line with The Episcopal Church at large, which is part of the Church World Service (CWS), advocating for our refugee neighbors, both in the United States and around the world, as they seek safety and security. Click here to sign up for CWS action alerts.
