Contemplative Prayer
Every Wednesday evening we gather contemplative prayer, a time of quiet and stillness. Rooted in ancient meditative prayer practices, this form of centering prayer offers peace in a busy world.
The evenings begin with a short walking meditation, in silence, to shed the excess energy of the day. Then we sit for a 20-minute period of centering prayer (meditation), followed by a brief period of reflection on a passage from scripture (lectio divina)
No experience is needed - come, just as you are and spend some quiet time with God.
